THE STANDARD

Count the objection.
Keep the contradiction.

01

Start with the corpus

We reviewed 175 public YouTube uploads and livestreams dated Jan 20, 2025–Aug 30, 2026. Automated phrase matching surfaced 354 candidate windows; each published entry was then checked in context.

02

Protect the headline

Only distinct, direct first-person rejections in the formal list era enter the clear count. A repeat strengthens an X; it does not create a new one. “Quarter X” and comprehension-dependent answers stay qualified.

03

Show what does not fit

Mary-Lou sometimes rejects both an administration action and its opposite. Those contradictions are editorially important, so the ledger labels them rather than forcing a single ideological arc.

About “152 Xs”

That July 12 line was Chad’s rhetorical exaggeration, not a tally supplied by Mary-Lou. It is not used as a statistic here.

Every evidence action opens the timestamped video on the official The Necessary Conversation YouTube feed. The independent TNC transcript archive was used to discover and audit candidate passages; it is not affiliated with the podcast.

Automatic transcripts can mishear words and speakers. Short excerpts here are navigation and analysis, not definitive transcripts. The ledger tracks Mary-Lou’s stated reaction to the material as presented on the show; it is not an independent fact-check of every claim made by a host.
